This Assessment Book goes with the Grade 1 Science Student Edition. It holds 40 lesson quizzes, 10 unit tests, a midterm, a final, and rubrics for every Show What You Know task and for Science Talk.

Each quiz takes about three minutes and checks one lesson: using the senses safely, sound and vibration, light and shadows, signals, parts of plants and animals, how parents help their young, young and their parents, the Sun, Moon and stars, seasons and daylight, and solving a problem like an engineer. The pictures and questions are new, so a child shows what they understand, not what they remember.
