Author terms (draft)
These are the terms we intend to offer authors. They are a draft under legal review and are not yet an offer. The final terms will be published here before the first author's book goes on sale.
1. What you give us
A non-exclusive right to sell your ebook on booksai.store, to show its cover, description, Making Label and first chapter for free, and to deliver it to buyers to read online, as EPUB and as PDF. You can sell the same book anywhere else.
2. What you keep
Your copyright and every other right in your book. We never change your text without your written approval.
3. The money (proposed)
You receive 61.8% of the price a buyer pays for each copy, after sales tax and refunds. The house keeps 38.2% for the shelf, the store, checkout, delivery and the label review. Paid monthly. No listing fee.
4. What you promise
- You hold the rights to sell the book, including anything you did not make yourself.
- Your Making Label is true.
- The book does not copy another work or pass itself off as another author's.
- Nothing in it breaks the law.
5. What we promise
- Your label shows on your book's page, exactly as approved.
- Your book stays on sale until you or we end it.
- We report every sale to you each month.
6. Ending it
Either side can end the arrangement with 30 days' notice. Buyers keep the books they already bought.
